Duck Nest......

Hi Guys! Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, and for anyone concerned with Waddles' bumble foot , she is doing fine. The reason i am posting this is that Waddles, my only duck, started making a nest in the bushes, and there are six eggs in it. She recently was at boarding at her vet, but that is the only possible interaction with other ducks. I am thinking that they are not fertilized eggs, but is this type of behavior common for a 1 1/2 old female Duclair duck? I am NOT a duck expert as you guys can probably see.

Take them in a dark room and shine a bright flashlight through them to see the embyro. Doesn't sound like these can possibly be fertile.

Was she sitting day and night constantly, only getting off the nest a couple of times a day to eat?

I'm interested to hear what happens for Waddles. I have a Duclair as well, Dolly. I just love her - she's basically a 2/3 size pekin, which is my favorite breed. Are you planning on getting more ducks so she has companions?
