Duck nesting area??

So my khakis have started laying , I’ve noticed the pekins also playing with the ceramic eggs I put in the two corners under the nesting boxes (from the last residents),

My question is , should I box in the two corners and fill it with straw/shavings ? I put a pile of shavings in each corner and as you can imagine it’s everywhere

The coop floor is 4 inches of sand , they did hollow it out a bit already ,

New layers generally don't go Broody. They do like bedding too nest in..

I’m not looking for broody , I don’t have a drake so it would be useless. I’m wondering if they will lay in a specific spot and if I should put straw /shavings there for them ? They don’t free range
