So I have made some nesting boxes out of some totes. My Black East Indie won’t lay her egg without one. So I was looking at ideas. Decided that something built into my coop wasn’t what I wanted as they would be a pain to clean or move if I ended up with a broody Duck.

I am hoping I didn’t make the opening to big but I wanted to make sure that both my little ducks and bigger layers could both fit in them.

Thoughts about it? I had got the idea for setting it up from seeing @WannaBeHillBilly and his set up. I am thinking of doing a shelf over top of it to store bedding and such.

That is a cool idea!
I'm using one of these toates as a feeding station, but as a nest box? I wish i had this idea earlier, that's truly thought out of the box! ;)

I tried this once before but the Welsh Harlequin hardly used them how I had them. I am hoping this way works better. So there is wood shavings and some straw in each one. Hopefully they will find one of these acceptable.

Please keep us updated and maybe post a picture of a beautiful Welsh Harlequin girl on a box.
