duck nesting question

Hello, at this time I only have 1 duck but plan on getting more,we had an invader problem, now taken care of. She is in with our 5 remaining hens. She has lately started laying her eggs outside? She used to go lay in the big nest box in the coop. Should I make her a designated area so to speak out in the run? Also I know lots of people keep ducks and chickens together is that a good idea, we want to get a drake and 3 more hens, but we are also going to be getting more chickens as well.

We are turning another area into a run and building a coop, should we let each group have their own area or will they all do ok as long as their is enough space in each run?
