I posted this in another thread but think this is where it belongs. My question is, I need some ideas on building nesting boxes/houses over water for mallard ducks. Should it be floating or fixed position with a post. This is my attempt at raise ducks. I have aprox 1/2 acre pond with very little cover around the pond. I have found one nest on the levy next to a very small sapling with briars around it. I fear that this nest will be destroyed and possibly loose the duck to predators. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
