i have a duck and i believe she might be full of eggs. she can hardly walk and im pretty sure she hasnt laid any eggs this year yet and she is getting really fat. when you feel her tummy its hard as a rock. anything i can do? was going to take her to the vet probably tomorrow or the next day

Most likely she is overweight, and overweight ducks have trouble laying. A hard, fatty abdomen usually signifies a poor layer. What breed of duck is she?

Mallards only lay 20 - 50 eggs per year, probably only in breeding season. A hybrid also may be a poor layer.

but something is making her really hard feeling on her tummy she just started looking this way the past few weeks getting worse and worse

I agree with you, babybluegurl22, she may be egg bound - very important to get her to a vet.

In the meantime, get her into a tub of lukewarm water where she can float for about an hour - and give her some calcium supplement. Some people recommend a Tums if you have nothing else, but if you have calcium citrate pills, you can dissolve one in some warm water and try to get her to drink that. Or, calcium gluconate liquid, a tablespoon of that mashed into some peas or another treat that she would eat - even a tiny piece of bread soaked in it. I know bread is not generally recommended as a treat, but if it will help get calcium into her, I would try it.
