Duck not laying! Help!

My girls are a year old and after they got done mottling they have laid the minimum eggs possible! I have never experienced this before! They seem healthy, not acting weird, eating/drinking fine, pooping like champions; not sure what the problem is! My cayuga has only laid 1 egg this month and my peking has only laid 5 minimum. I have looked everywhere in their coop and I can't find anything! Is this normal?

Given the time of year and shortening daylight period, I would guess that it is a normal break in their laying cycle.

Most of my one year olds stopped too but they will start again in spring.

Really?!? It’s crazy because they started laying around this time last year and laid through the winter even! It’s good to know, one less thing to be worried about thank you

Yes when they First start to lay they will lay through the winter. But not the following winter is my general observation.. I have some five month olds now that are just starting to lay and I’m hoping they’ll lay all winter, but not expecting them to do that again next winter. It’s good for their body to have that rest.
