Do ducks need pools of water in the winter time too?

Not exactly sure if they need pools in winter, but mine sure love it all year around. Then again California never really gets winter do we???

I caught them in the pool having a grand old time in the middle of the night @ 22°.

Mine get it as long as temps stay around 40* once it starts dropping ands stays under freezing I dump the pools and give them a cement mixing tub once in a while. Mine don't mate in winter.[Muscovy]
