Duck or chicken egg? That is the question

Hi, I found an egg last night and I don't know whether it's a duck or chicken. The white is the other chicken eggs brown is the new one.

white one looks like chicken brown one duck. not 100% sure though.

Yep, I think it is a duck egg... Does it feel waxy on the outside?

Looks like a chicken egg to me. Never seen a duck egg that color, although someone else may prove me wrong. Duck eggs are usually white, light bluish green, or charcoal grey like from Cayugas, or some variation of those colours. What other birds do you have, maybe we can try to narrow it down that way?

Agree. Never seen a brown duck egg, the speckling reminds me of one of my copper marans.
