Duck Pen and Wasps

The Duck ABC's :

Mixing borax with water and spraying it on is really good. It hurts their breathing apparatus and kills them. Diamateous earth does the same trick. I'm sure there are plenty of other tricks. Ammonia works well too, but that is not that safe to apply.

Yeah that's what I had in mind. I could also use some Permethrin (a little bit,) because my mom used it on one of my parakeets when it somehow got mites and it didn't bother it. I could also get some expanding foam to fill all the gaps after their dead. I don't think I'll worry about it though because the ducks will probably eat them anyway.

I got these cool, paper lantern looking , colored to look like a hornets nest. And because they are terrtorial , they are put up and others won't nest close to them. Well I have one in my horse shed, and one in the duck aviary. In two years I have never had a wasp nest in the aviary (and they spring up everywhere!) and not in 2/3 of my barn. (and had dozens every year before that. I personally spray the rafters of my barn with wasp spray and corners of my porch roof, because I used to be allergic before I took bee shots for 5 years. I think these lantern things do work somewhat.I did spray mine with some polyeuthene spray for more waterproofing. Had them 2 + years now, and they were 2 for 10.00 thru "Dwellsmart" online. http://www.dwellsmart.com/Products/Insect-and-Pest-Control/Wasp-and-Yellowjacket-Deterrent

Mine devour wasp and bees. I've seen my Rouen girl, Gypsy, hop off the ground and catch a HUGE horse hornet in mid air and chomp it right down.
