Duck pen design? :)

My grapevine is fenced in and has 5 roosters under it, im planning on removing them and putting my four ducks (and get a few more) under it...i've got some pictures of the pen and i will be building a shelter, also i built a pond that will be moved beside the grapevine and fenced in...how many ducks could i put in this fence..it's about 35ft by 25ft.

A LOT! lol 35 x 25 = 875sqft / 4sqft per bird = 218.75 birds... in other words, as many ducks as you would like.

I think if they're staying there all day it's more like 10 sqft per duck... still a lot of ducks (80+)

I have a 20ft by 30ft pen and 9 ducks. I really wouldn't add many more to it. It's no fun to be over crowded, plus they stay on the ground, so no one will be up off the ground in a bush or something. So space is always an issue. Maybe 15, 20 total is all I would add to your pen.
BTW, love the pond! I just started building a pond for mine today. It's a 10ft round pool liner, so hopefully it will be a nice size for them. They get their two 3ft kiddy pools dirty after one day and then no longer want to even drink the water...

If you want there to still be grass there, don't add too many more than you have.

i stated my error. i am use to using 4sqft because i free range mine

Ducks love grapes! Our ducks ate them all last year!
