Would a pond this size be big enough for 6 ducks? I know it's hard to see but it would be roughly triangle shape. And has anyone had success growing aquatic plants in one that chickens have access to?

That's about the size of mine and I have 5 ducks. I just have the preformed one. Of course I'd love to go bigger, but this is just fine for them.

I was hoping otherwise 😒 i really don't want to have to clean it ever. I'm planning on installing a pump and biofilter but I don't know if that would be enough
Have you ever tried to keep a pet turtle in an aquarium with a filter made for fish by chance? It doesn’t work very well because they make so much waste. Likewise, ducks most likely would overwhelm your system. There are people on this site who do filter the water but most seem to find it overwhelming. That is why most of us use preformed pond liners, baby pools, horse or cattle feed or water dishes, etc. and change the water daily. The poopy water is like miracle grow on your plants if that helps 😃.

Lol i don't even have fish. I saw in another thread someone mentioned fencing off part of the pond to grow filtering plants. I might try that or just build it outside the run and only let them play in it occasionally lol
