Does anyone have a good plan/idea that works for about runner ducks at our family farm? Essentially I would like to put a large water trough in the ground and then have some sort of pump that cleans out the water. Any pump recommendations? I would love to do duck ponics but I just dont' have the time.

Any good pump based pond ideas out there?

Thanks!

I use a 250GPH pump in my 75 gallon aquarium. Mag drives are nice pumps.. Been in service for.. oh... 10 years. Easy to replace impeller, in case of damage.

Go with a higher GPH, such as the 700.

Pumping the water from the pond is easy.. What will you do for filtration however?

I'd recommend a bio filter. The design is for a Koi pond, but it'll still do the job.. I'd also make it a live filter and have water lettuce or such on top.
