So this is my current setup-am desperately gathering info on making a filter for these pools so I can quit changing the water every other day. As you can see, I have 5 ducks. 3 Rouens, 1 Crested Pekin and 1 mutt. They live with 3 chickens, 1 rooster (who thinks he's a duck) and 2 goats.
The larger pool has a drain. Eventually I will have the 2 pools connected so I can fill both at once and the water levels will stay even. I will need to install a pump, float and filter.
If anyone has any ideas I'm all ears.
Thanks for letting me share!

I think all you can do is drain the dirty water - ideally into your garden. I don't think you can clean pools that size when ducks are the swimmers.

I'm going to give it the "old college try" to filter the water. I'm also going to make the drain bigger on the big pool.

I got the big pool at Walmart. It was the last one they had.

I'm building a bog filter into the koi pond which will leave me with an extra pressure filter... it's designed for a 2000 gallon pond. I'm going to hook it up to the duck pool and see what happens. Hoping the uv clarifier will help with the algae that grows so fast in the pool. If I can get it to where I can drain it only once a week, that would be awesome. I'm also thinking up a bog filter design for the duck pool, if the pressure filter doesn't do it.
