I see alot of different poops every day. The worst is broody poop especially when trying to move one off the nest and she nails ya right on the pant leg.

Did anyone ever figure out what is normal here? Mine tend to be wet and of all different colors. Sometimes it smells bad. They don't seem to like any food I buy at the feed store but love peas and corn so I try to mix that in to the pellets. I can't figure out if they need more pellet food or what?

Q 1: How old are your jiggle butts (ducks)?
Q 2: describe "wet"? Do you mean not solid?

Ducks poop range in color from what they eat. Green for grass. Yellow for corn. Brown for feed. Ect.

Pellets should be the bulk of their food ration as it hold the most nutrition. Most likely the packing will tell you how much to feed them. Whats your brand? I use Agways game bird. Everything else (corn n peas) is kinda treats or at least that's how I like to see it. Changes in feed amount should be gradual, cross a few days or so. A ducks behavior will tell a lot about is health keep that in mind if changes in that area seem off. Ducks pee btw lol and there can be a mix of multiple poops in one pooping.(solid n discharge poop)

Poop types from my gang of outlaws

Discharge poops - normal - thick liquid that is the most fowl (lol see what I did there *-*...ehm sorry)

Solid poops- normal -firm poops are good poops. Poops that make you prod to see and say "that is one fine poop" or "I'm proud of you."

Colossal poops - abnormal - really big piles of poop that you real can hear and see shoot out the butt of yo duck. your feeding them way to much or you need to change there feeding times. Space them out more.

Scrawny poops - abnormal- you need to feed them more. May lead to weight loss and behavior changes. Poops that make you say "you call that a poop"

Not to be weird but this is my kind of thread. Who doesn't want to see healthy duck poops. Come on. Just makes me... so proud and laugh... quack *excessive duck owner* cough... *-*

They are almost 6 moths old. They do eat a lot of bugs and stuff in the yard so maybe that is why they don't eat the pellets much. I did try making it into a mash yesterday and they seemed to like it better. The poops are always different colors but it could be wet because they are constantly in the water. I just don't find " piles " of poop when I get home but they could be stepping on it and smushing it out. I use a cat litter scoop to pick up most of it. Half of their pen is sand and the other half is straw. The seems to like to go on the sand.

Well my ducks are about 6 weeks and they have what we call juicy squirts is that normal?
