Maddie flew as quick as she could over to where nutters was keeping the man distracted. She flew toward the man and bit his ear hoping that would make him stop and go away. she flew toward his face taking turns with nutters.

Then the man picked Nutters up and stuck him in a cage in his truck and locked him in there as he searched for more ducks

Nutters!!!!!! Penny quacked as she pinched a part of the skin on his face and wouldn't let go! she hoped this would get him to run away and forget about nutters of that he would fall out of the truck (nutters). The man yelled as she pinched his face as hard as she could but the man pulled her off of his face held a gun at her and........CLICK...penny thought she was a goner but the man had run out of ammo so he threw his gun in the back of his truck and swung his fist at her and broke her leg.Penny shouted "We wont let him kill you nutters we will find you I promise". The man got in the truck and drove away. Penny flew back to lavender but when she landed tumbled from her leg. He has nutters!!!!

Nutters!!!!!! "HE HAS NUTTERS!!!! I WILL KILL HIM!!! Let me get my farmer! He knows when I'm upset!!!" Lavender said as she flew to her farmers house.

They walked to go find the farmer where they passed by where nutters had bee taken. Penny felt her heart sink into her chest just thinking about how much nutters probably is scared and or what the man is doing to him. Penny felt like crying but she knew now was not the time they just had to help nutters. Somehow.

They found the farmer and he could tell she was in distress. "What's wrong?" He asked, Lavender led him to the place Nutters was taken.

The farmer saw the tire tracks from the truck and the imprint in the sand from the duck feet and the cage and knew nutters was missing. he looked at Penny and saw her broken leg,picked her up and carried her inside.Penny was scared but she trusted the farmer and knew he was just trying to take care of her. He set her an a counter top where he gently stretched her leg back so it was fully out .Penny quacked from it hurting but the farmer knew what to do. he put a splint next to her leg and wrapped it. Then he gave her a shot to prevent swelling, infection and pain and set her down back outside with lavender.
