Great news!! it's really a miracle how fast it works if it's a dif.
And it was apparently a deficiency issue. AFLAC has gone days without a seizure now.
Thanks

Such goodness and a big relief for you I'm sure. Just be sure to keep it up till at least 10 weeks old.And it was apparently a deficiency issue. AFLAC has gone days without a seizure now.
Thanks
I found my 5-week Cayuga duckling on it's back this morning with the other ducks. I'm at the vet and they have her on oxygen and gave her antisezure meds. Running blood tests, checking for thiamine deficiency. I supplement the duck's regular diet of Manzuri Waterfowl feed with fresh vegetables, quinoa/oatmeal, nettles tea and occasional ground up hard boiled eggs.
About 3 weeks ago when the Cayugas were still in my bedroom, I woke up to hear one flopping in the water bowl. I ignored the noise for about 10 mins because they would play. I got up to check and one was on its back stretched out and I thought it was dead. I picked it up, warmed it up and within 10 mins it was running around, eating and drinking. I'm wondering if that was a seizure too back then.
I just got a call from the vet. She said she found a piece of metal (x-ray) so she is treating the duckling for metal poisoning. Too big to pass so she is doing some kind of flushing from the system treatment. Her blood sugar level. Vet said she could have picked up that piece of metal from anywhere, including the feed. I'll keep you posted on her recovery.
I'm sorry, you did all you could
You sure did, so sorry.
