Our drake has had this sneeze for a few weeks now - no other symptoms, feeding normally, as active as ever, no discharge, nothing else out of the ordinary. Anything I should look out for or should I just contact the vet to find out more?

Thank you,

Peter

Ok...that is interesting. I never saw our previous drake ever do that, in all the 7.5 years he was alive.

Isaac, just watching him, not sure about this. Sounds the same, but he does this randomly and not even looking at the female. He also has a cough sometimes, without the whistle or the rising up. I’ll keep a closer watch on him to monitor his behaviour.

How long has this been going on?

Try to get a video of him coughing if you can, and post it here.

My fellas do this and then run around the yard with their heads low showing off; doesn’t matter if the girls are even nearby. Based off of this particular video I see nothing to be concerned about, but for sure take more of other behaviours if he’s doing something different. (And by no means am I an expert, only going off of my own birds’ behaviour).
they amaze me with the range of sounds and motions they make, and it seems like I learn something new every day when I watch them. :)

Thank you. I’ll keep a close eye on him. I’ve just never seen this behaviour before. We’ve only had him a few months, and previous drake we had for 7.5yrs and he never did this. Will let you know
