Duck species ID?

Its upright carriage suggests runner duck ancestry. What makes you so certain that it isn't a feral domestic duck? It could also be a hybrid.

There just aren’t many domestic ducks around where I live. I guess it is a possibility though. Didn’t think about a hybrid

Could still be a mallard and be wild.

I think you guys are not picking up what I'm putting down. Wild is the mallard collor pattern, has nothing to do with domestic/wild status. That is not a solid color duck. It has mallard/rouen coloring.

Hi everyone, does anybody know what kind of duck this is? She is not 100% feathered yet, still young. Found in south Alabama for reference! I was thinking a cinnamon teal, but not sure. Thanks!

Cinnamon teal is a wild duck. The color of this duck is I believe called penciled???? She could be Mallard but I think mixed as she doesn't have the eye stripe. She's very pretty.

Its definitely a domestic duck. Any wild duck would have orange feet and legs and a yellow/olivey bill. This one's bill looks very pink. Someone dumped it. It's also much too big for a teal.

Definitely domestic, probably dumped. The color to me says Khaki Campbell. Lack of eyestripes points that way as well, since khakis are dusky and don't have eye stripes.
