There is a little yellow glob in the grass at the bottom of the second video, is that his poop, could you take a few pictures of his poop? Do you think he's lost some weight?

Hello again - I am thinking he's eaten something thats disagreeing with him. Do you have any ACV you could add to his drinking water (must be in plastic, not metal) ?

Do you have a little area where you can isolate him, he can rest and you can monitor him ?

I have not noticed any weight loss... not to say he hasn't. Here's some pictures of his poop and his brothers (they have been quarantined together). I included the brothers because it's very green and he was nice enough to give me a sample right when I showed up.

Not sure if you'd recommend I separate them, they're kind of glued to each other so I like to keep them together. I can pick up some apple cider vinegar (that's what that means, right?). Is there a mix percentage I should be going for in their water? They're currently using a plastic water feeder.

After watching the videos that you provided, it leads me to believe he is suffering from a neurological disorder, at his age, toxin ingestion or head trauma is going to be the most likely however I might be more inclined to think the latter since there aren’t any other noticeable symptoms present besides the loss of balance that you’re seeing here. I do see that his legs cross over slightly, but I don’t think that’s the cause of his little “running in circle” spurts as his legs didn't seem to trip over each other when he was walking in a circle.

Of course, I’m not a vet, nor do I have any vet training, so I may certainly be wrong, this is just my intake from looking at the videos. If you want to know more about why he is doing this, a trip to your local avian vet would probably pose the best outcome for him.

Also, I just wanted to confirm that you did check him over, mainly near his vent and wings for mites/lice?

What a lovely picture ! A definite yes for keeping them together in duck rehab.

And apologies for the acronym - yes apple cider vinegar, unfiltered and with a "mother' in it if possible.

I did a quick check and did not see anything but treated anyways because I was trying everything. I read that the lethal dose of permethrin is a ridiculous amount for a duck but I'm not sure if that could be the issue. I would think all of the ducks would have the same issue in this case. I appreciate your opinion, I'm going to try some apple cider vinegar overnight and then another dose of B12 tomorrow and make a decision about the vet. I do know a bird vet, but they were closed to COVID last time I checked. Our normal vet does have an "exotics" specialist that is in occasionally- but we got the impression they weren't super familiar with ducks last time I went.
