I think I will pass on that but honestly that was a kind offer.Without a necropsy, no one, not even a vet can say for sure what the cause of death was. There are so many possibilities, especially since you mentioned a yellow/green poop and the brownish-red mucus. Are you brave? Do you want to try doing your own necropsy?
If you want, I can give you some pointers on doing necropsies. I have done a few and I have processed some ducks, so I might be able to help you figure out what the cause of death was. If it was something like ascites or cancer, that's pretty easy to spot.
