Duck suddenly has severe limp! Help, this one is particularly dear to me!

Sometime around 11am something must have happened to Chicky (1-year-old khaki), because she started limping on one leg. No visible wounds or sores, no swelling or heat, can't feel any break in bone if I try (but I'm not confident whether I could find something like that). She's gotten worse throughout the day and now trips sometimes when trying to bear weight and often has it tucked to her body. It almost seems like she's hurting most up around her hip, where I can't feel much clearly.

I will be taking her to the vet when they open tomorrow, but I would love any helpful insight you experienced duck folks might have to offer. I am really hoping this is just a sprain that will heal on its own quickly, are there signs you all have come across that indicate break vs sprain? I gave her a soak in Epsom salts shortly after I noticed, and I kept her shut in the 8x10 pen with her sisters all day where she mostly hangs out in the pool, but she really seems to be feeling it more through the day.

I love this girl so much, she's my baby. We are particularly attached to each other and I am really torn up over this, especially since I lost a duckling to a leg break the vet said wouldn't heal a year ago. Please advise?

How is Chicky today? Were you able to take her to the vet?

Thank you for checking! She seems to be doing about the same, but the vet didn't seem too concerned it was a break. He gave us some pain killers and told us to try and keep her resting for two weeks, and if she doesn't improve we can do X-rays to rule a break out for sure.
