Hello everyone, I need some medical advice for my duck. I have an adult male Pekin duck who just suffered a leg cut. What happened is that we have a wooden board in this pen where he can roam, but the board has gaps and his foot got stuck in one of them. Last night wee heard noises like wings flapping from his coop, and when we went to feed him we found him like that. At first we thought he was sick and couldn't get up because of some sort of paralysis but once we got him out it was evident that the reason he couldn't stand was because his leg got stuck. When we got him out we immediately fed him and he had plenty of apetite. Afterwards we disinfected the wound in his leg which was bleeding a little (it wasn't too bad but it was still a cut) and but a bandage on the injury. We then moved him to a secluded area so he could spend the night in a dry, comfortable spot. Today we checked on him and he isn't moving around very much. He can get up but he doesn't want to. He is normally very active and today he seems a little shut down. Could it be that he's traumatized and just needs some space and time? Or is the bandage causing an issue? What advice do guys have for me.

He might be traumatized by what happened or by being on his own, or he may have an injury or infection causing his current problems

Can you post a photograph of the wound?

Can you let him swim in a wading pool or tub so that he can exercise his leg without weight bearing?

He needs examining carefully for tenderness, swelling, joint movement particularly on his feet legs and hips

Thank you everyone for the advice. I have taken pictures for your consideration and gave him a little bath today. He wasn't moving around at first but ended up wadling and splashing. However he is very timid and stays away from us, when he usually comes up to us. When we approached him to pick him up from the pool he jumped out violently and afterwards threw up a little of the food we gave him. Aside from that however he is a little move responsive and can move around and walk just fine. He feels a little off still but overall better. These are the pictures:
