Duck swallowed foreign object.

So it sounds like my female Mallard swallowed a bottle cap or penny? My husband says he came home and she was choking on something, she came right up to him in distress. He says it was lodged in her throat, quite pronounced and he was unable to move it up. Instead he got it down and in the gullet. My question is what can I do? Or should I do? Will she be ok or?? She is currently nesting so not too active but I'm worried. Any advice?

Not sure?..Sometimes they can pass things. Keep an eye on her and see. Nesting Ducks eat like alligators when they come off the nest and then rush back to it.
Possible X-ray needed?...
