Duck Swaps Are Now Available

A few of you have noted that you love the ideas of the Swaps in the chicken section but would love for some to be in the duck section. I have talked to the staff and gotten proper clearance.

A few things you should know:

1.You have the option to chose the kind of Swap you would like to set up. Rather it be Show Quality, Mystery Egg Swap, etc.

2. Once Swaps are established let's try not to have several copies of the same one.

3. BYC is not responsible for anything related to these Swaps. Please do not bother the staff with issues regarding bad transactions. Also, I would advise putting a Disclaimer on the first page.

4. Take advantage of your ability to write member pages: https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/0/Member_Pages

You can create a "Swap Page" that will list all of the items you have up for swapping. This helps encourage side swaps. On the bottom of the page you can create a section to keep track of what you owe to people and what is owed to you.

5. Make sure to be courteous and fair in all of your swaps.


6.You must be 18 or older to create a Swap or Participate.


7. Have fun

Good going K, I doubt i'd use it but for those that do alot of hatching it will be fun I'm sure.

I do have a note regarding feedback. I've already gotten two PM's this morning regarding expanding the duck section. That is a huge step that requires much more than just a few comments by me in the feedback section. If you want the duck section to be broken up into more parts such as feed,housing, etc please make a thread in the feedback section link above explaining why it should be done. For such a project to be considered we really need to show more interest in it.

We're working on this now! Here is a link where we are talking about this. It actually started again on another thready, but Nifty pointed me to here, and if you have thoughts or an opinion, here is a good place to share it. Nifty is seriously considering just ducks right now. I'd love more, and so would some others, but I'm not gonna scoff at it.

I started a request last week for subsections in the duck area as well as goose area. It is long over due.

I hope they get a goose area going before long too. I agree with Celtic here, this is a multi fowl thread, and geese also have quite a following.
