Duck Treat Ideas...

You sound like you will do fine..Once the weather gets better you can buy the kids a box of popsicles for following the rules about feeding the Ducks. They will listen then..

That’s a great idea. Yesterday the kids asked me to bake them a cake!! They brought over a cake mix box and three eggs, but they didn’t have oil and I didn’t either- so another day! I also only want to bake it when their parents are home, I’d hate to step on any toes.

I had kids come to play with my Puppies one summer..They were at my house twenty times a day...:gig

I get the feeling that’s how this will be!! When it’s not “I want to look at the ducks” it’s, “can you bring your dog out?” And the other day they asked to see my mice! But my mice are old and it was cold and they were sleeping so I told them that was for another day. When the kids knock on my door my husband always says “it’s for you!” :lau
The first day or two he gladly brought the dogs out and sat with the kids by the ducks, but lately he’s been tired and doesn’t want to deal with the kids.

Haha...That's too cute. You can say no at times and ask them to come back later. You sound very good with Kids and they will happily come back when you say so..
The Dogs probably love the attention.

Oh, my big dog does! She’s lazy and loves to be pet. My other one doesn’t care too much unless they want to play- but the kids are a little scared of her so that hasn’t happened yet.

Lol that is comforting! Haha
When they did bring over the cake mix and eggs one egg dropped at the end of my driveway- I made sure to tell my husband no one was egging our house. :gig
Our neighbors behind us and the two to our side are very welcoming and friendly. We haven’t seen our neighbors to the left at all! Or across the street. Oh well.
They don’t seem like they want to be bothered.

We have been here four years and seen our neighbors about 4 times...Lol. I like it that way.

Us too. We’re homebodies and are not very social! Of course we’ll be friendly though. My husband was with our neighbor behind us and the neighbor offered to my husband something along the lines of “if you ever don’t want to hang out with your wife you’re always welcome here” and my husband told me he was thinking to himself “when do I not want to hang out with my wife?” :love But then he elaborated to me and said when he wants alone time, he wants just that- to be alone! Haha
