I love to give my ducks treats like different fruits and vegetables and was wondering if ducks could eat dried medjool dates I’ve looked online but can’t seem to find an answer so any help would be greatly appreciated

I looked it up online and it doesn't say,
It just said you can feed your ducks sweet potatoes, Watermelons, Beets, Turnips, Carrots, Radishes, But ducks would have a far easier time if they are cooked or grated.:)

Wellll idk if theyre supposed to have them or not but i gave my ducks medjool dates a few weeks ago and they were the only treat ive ever given them that they did not touch.

Well, then I guess there's your answer. They sound like they'd be expensive although I've never heard of them. My ducks aren't that crazy about peas believe it or not!

The dates i had werent even meant for a duck treat specifically just leftover from a recipe and youre right, not cheap so i didnt want to waste them and gave them to the ducks. They took a hard pass on them

I wouldn't give them to your ducks--fruits and vegetables are better for any animal or person. Dates are often very sugary and too many sweets are not good. If you give them a lot of 'duck junk food' they won't want to eat veggies or their duck feed.

Haha, I do that too! I hate to waste anything so if the ducks won't eat it the dogs probably will! Oh and if you have a vegetable garden that is a gold mine for them! All those parts and pieces that you don't want will never go to waste!
