So how does the foot look now has the swelling gone down quite a bit in his foot? I know who your talking about it's Hewy right? you said earlier he is trying to walk a little? I think all of these are good signs and hopefully you'll see more improvement. But Haunted can explain to you since she has delt with bumble in her Pekin.

Yes haunted this started out as Bumblefoot because I noticed a black spot on his foot and it was quite big then I had started him on Epsom salt then 5 days of amoxicillin then I took out the Bumblefoot and I cleaned it and it healed good and but he couldn't walk still and I'll post pictures of his foot right now and yea he's a jumbo pekin and he is 9 months
Okay...have you used the colorless iodine? If not you really need to get you some and soon.

Yea Ms.Lydia I'm talking about hewy and yea he tries to walk a little more and my other duck is not bothering him anymore he sits with and sleeps and never leaves his side :)

Yea I know it's sad to see them get Bumblefoot :( and yes I've been using the colorless iodine on him and why soon Haunted

I want you to start painting the swollen area as well as any bumbles left on the foot. When you cleaned out the bumble, I'd have to say that something was left behind and the swelling you are seeing higher up on the leg is classic of the staph going into the joint. Paint it, and hope for the best. I also had a Grand who had this happen. I finally culled him for meat so not sure how long it would take for this to work. The iodine is going to be absorbed into the tissue and will cut any infection there back. How well? Not sure but it's worth the effort. Apply every 3rd day. Not sooner, not later. Paint the whole area showing the swelling, let it dry and turn him loose. You should know in a couple of days if it is going to work. The swelling should start to go down and be noticeable after the second treatment. The trouble with staph is it's a hard one to get rid of once it gets into the joints. Oral antibiotics sometimes just don't do it. this is why I am saying to use the colorless iodine again and see if it will get in deep enough to do some good.

Okay well I put iodine all over his foot and joints today and I'll keep u guys updated and this is how is foot looks like
