Duck tumor? Infected feather cyst? Pics inside.

One of the wild ducks that likes to visit my flock has a nasty looking cyst or tumor growing out ofher head. Any idea what it might be. It flops around and is attached by only a small strip of flesh, but she's had it for months and it's getting bigger and nastier looking.

have you tried to lance it incase it was a cyst, you say it is only connected by a strip of flesh, did you think of cutting it off?
