Quail. Ducks are dirty and smell terrible. Never again. Quail will happen again (3rd time, second with coturnix) as soon as I have a coop built for them.

Why are people even arguing over this? It's obvious that ducks don't even come close to the awesomeness of quail.

I have both quail and ducks. Peking ducks are friendly enough but squirter poop everywhere. My common quail are prolific egg layers and don't take up much space.
I enjoy the ducks antics while the quail are not entertaining at all.

Well if you had to choose one you would choose quail right? They're like mini chickens!
