Duck with severely frostbitten feet and legs. Will the dead portions of the bone separate?

This is what my Pekin males looked like a month or more ago. At first I was treating him with IM injections of penicillin BID for seven days but really did not show any improvement. He had survived an attack from a weasel and had neck wounds and was limping because he had escaped the duck house and was running around in the snow on a 30 below night. I found him first thing that morning and brought him in, noticed he wouldn't even stand on that foot, and put him in a luke warm bath. I sent him to live in my mothers barn until we were able to capture the weasel. A week after being there this began. At first it was bright red/orange and my mother said she thought he had cut the top of his foot that was why I was treating for an infection. I wonder now if it was frost bite the entire time. His web is falling off more and more each day but his leg seems fine. Can you tell me did your duck present with the same problems and did it look similar to my Pogo's web in this image? I know nothing can be done now, but I am currently designing (or rather trying to design) a false web. He seems happy and healthy otherwise. Loves his "women."
