Hello!

I have a 2 year old Khaki Campbell that stopped eating 3 days ago. We check for worms as she has diarrhea but we haven’t found any worms.

She has lost a lot of weight and she is getting weak. We have tried worming her but she won’t eat or drink.

Besides Safeguard Aquasol, we also tried getting her to drink Nutradrench in her water but she won’t.

She still walks with the other ducks but she is incredibly slow and there isn’t much left to her except feathers and bones.

We don’t have any Poultry vets around.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Can you take a needless syringe, pry her beak open and get small amounts of food in, timed out, say once every fifteen minutes to avoid aspirating from forcing too much food too quickly?

Even liquid egg yolks.

And definitely some sort of electrolyte solution for the diarrhea.

(Have not dealt with this with ducks.)

OK, first you need to deworm her use safeguard at 0.23 ML per lb of duck
4 pound duck gets about one ML
Just because you can’t see the worms does not mean she doesn’t have them. They live inside the duck and the worm poop is microscopic. It can be seen if you get a fecal test done, but you can’t see it with a naked eye most of the time.
Next, you need to start tube feeding your duck or she won’t last long
Look for a small animal tube feeding kit
You can grind up regular duck feed and something like a coffee grinder and then add enough water that it can go through the tube without getting clogged
There are tutorials on how to tube feed a duck on YouTube
