Duck wont eat since bonded sister passed

One of my ducks passed and niw the other wont eat anything but her snacks. I need another adult duck, seller on CL wont respond. Help!

I’d keep giving her lots of snacks then until she’ll start eating her normal food. Maybe mix a little food into the snacks

So sorry for your loss, what did she pass from? If illness maybe your other one is sick also?

Maybe mix a little food into the snacks

I would recommend starting electrolytes before getting to carried away with the treats.

I have been giving some snacks, trying to add vitamin supplements to it, or adding snacks to food. Lol she picks out snacks. Maybe I'll give more. So worried thought she might not want her food then.

I am sure she is in shock from the loss of her mate, as long as she isn't sick. Try putting a mirror in with her until you can find her a friend. Best of luck.

Have you tried wetting her feed to see if she will eat it that way?

What breed and how old?

Khaki Campbell, just started laying. Was fine in morning, both came down and jumped in their pool, not even an hour later she was gone. Looked like she was trying to pass an egg. Had no idea one was stuck no symptoms. Both on layer food, brewers yeast, omega supplements in water. No symptoms if any issue, good eaters and happy. Beside myself.
