Duckie won’t let me sleep

As long as she doesn’t need another friend to survive she’ll be alright! I had to raise one chick alone for a little while after she got stuck in a cup (in her delivery box) on her delivery here and she was fine! She just got excited to see me when I came and checked on her because she was lonely. This is who we used the mason jar for and she really liked it! But she won’t die if she’s alone! When do you think you’ll be able to get her a buddy?

I wouldn't let a duckling sit in water for a very long time. They are not ready for that because they don't have the adult feathers/oil that help keep them dry. 10-15 min at most and then need to be dried off or under a heat lamp to dry off and warm up.

Most won't die from loneliness, but they will thrive much better with a duckling pal. They are flock animals and meant to have a flock whether that is a small one or a large one is up to you, but a lone duck is not as happy as one that has its own kind to hang with.

Well, like I said.. it was not my fault I only got one. There was a person before me who got 2 leaving 2 left but she came back for only ONE more. Leaving mine. They weren’t supposed to sell the ducks like that but shit happens. Trying my hardest to get her another friend. But like I said wasn’t my fault

Good! Because some other person said they can’t live alone and will die or something, but I have called every place locally and they don’t have any until august and I’m in florida rn going back home to GA on 3 days. Even up there they don’t have any. I was able to get ahold of royal king here and they said they have a few left so I’m hoping to go this afternoon and praying there will be atleast one

Actually, no one is forced to get an animal. You made that decision.

It’s a really good thing that you adopted her though because otherwise she would still be alone at the place you got her from! I’m sure she is much happier being with you than being alone! There’s no rush really! You do what you gotta do and remember that none of this is your fault and that you are actually doing good for that little duckling!

Bc u came off rude the duck would of ended up somewhere where she would of probably been hurt. So yeah I DID get her and I am so grateful.

It’s good to have someone on my side Yeah I found her comment really rude and was like “umm?” Then she said “no one forced u to get it” like hold up that duck could of ended up dead if I didn’t help her out. I’m so grateful I have her, I just wish I could help her sooner. People need to understand that yes I asked for advice but doesn’t mean be rude
