My Crested is 11 days old, and the other 2 are 7 days old. You have to be very careful not to let them get chilled. I had the bathroom heater on, a thermometer in the water about 90 degrees, then after about 10 minutes I towel dried them and got them right back in the warm brooder. I have been having a problem with pasty butt with the Crested, that's why I let them swim.

Had it not been for the issue that I had with one of them I probably would have waited longer too
