Duckling Age?

Hi!

So.I’m curious. I bought these ducklings, under the impression that they were a week old or younger.

Which, by that logic, would make them about two weeks old now. But they are definitely losing their baby down (anytime we pick them up or pet them, their fuzz goes everywhere), and I swear I see them mature by the minute. I also believe (please correct me if I’m wrong) that they have developed their oil glands already?

I have attached pictures of the feathers that have come in and their oil glands (?). The picture of all three of them two days ago, and they have for sure gotten taller/matured since then, but they are politely refusing to be photographed right now .

Do you think they are truly 2 weeks (+/-)? If not, how old? Also are those oil glands?

I'd say around three weeks, and yes those are their oil glands. Cute ducks!

3 weeks seems just about right
