I found my ducks back and wings plucked out again and bleeding. This time though our drake wasnt the cause of it because we separated him from the flock recently to avoid this from happening again but after 4 days without the drake one of our chickens decided to pick on our newest duck.

Unfortunately, this isnt the first time our newest duck has been attacked and I'm wondering what I should do about it. The first time it was our drake and now it's one of our chickens ( they have never attacked any of our ducks before now ). Any ideas on how to stop this attacks from happening? And how I should go about her back and wings? We currently have her with our pekin who is recovering from a puffy eye and they are getting along really well together.

Separate the duck from the chickens. It can be in a pen, with a kiddie pool NEXT to them, so it's not in isolation. Put some ORIGINAL triple antibiotic ointment, (neosporin type antibiotic ointment) WITHOUT pain relief. In addition, up the protein just a bit to help it regrow good feathers, quickly.

I would apply neosporin (plain) and she should heal fine. I wonder if a saddle would fit and help protect the area while healing?
Alright, tyy! I got a few things of neosporin luckily on hand. I also have large gause pads that might be able to cover her back. Though last time I tried covering a injury for her she just pulled it right off.

Thank you so much for that protein tip! I'll make sure her feed has more protein. We have her inside for now where I can keep an eye on her recovery till we get that other area for her setup. She is no longer bleeding and I already see feathers growing back hopefully with the more protein she will have a fast recovery.

Don't go nuts with the protein, but yes a bit more during this time, helps produce stronger feathers, a bit faster. I use canned cat food, tuna, canned mackerel, small pieces of leftover meatloaf, etc. A can of canned cat food, for one hen, should last about 3 days. Give it as a treat. OR you can buy a bag of feed with a higher protein content, but I find it's just easier to put a bit of meat as a treat.

I just wanted to mention that my own duck has begun molting. From the picture, it's not easy to tell how old your duck is, and it may be young enough it won't molt this year, however, if it's over a year old, don't freak out if starts losing feathers. It has nothing to do with the injury.
