we believe our 6 week old Khaki Campbell was trampled ( mosh pit style) by her 20 siblings the other day. She won’t walk but can swim no problem. I have her separated and she is eating and drinking well. I give her pool therapy 2x a day. We are only on day 3 since her injury. Does anyone have experience with this? Thoughts? Thank you

Hopefully rest and water therapy will get her over this. If she is moving in the water fine can she also stand in the water? I’d also get her some liquid B Complex and give her 1 ml a day until she is up and walking good again. TSC has the best one. Put the liquid b over something tasty just enough so she gets full dose. It could take a few weeks or more if she got a sprain in her back so be patient. And please post back and let us know how she is doing.

Thank you! Tomorrow, I will fill the tub just enough to see if she will walk -vs- swimming. Will pick up B as well. I have been giving her peas and we do have Niacin. What are your thoughts on Niacin for young developing ducklings?

Depends on the niacin it can’t be no flush or time released. But it is great to give to ducklings from hatch till 10 weeks of age that is when they are growing the fastest, but when one already has an issue like your duckling then the liquid b complex gives more support. Just like when we get an injury rest and therapy is the best medicine water therapy is so good for them since it takes pressure off the back and legs. I hope you see improvement real soon.
