Hello. My name is Hannah. I have had chickens for a year. I still have a lot to learn. Currently, I only have one rooster, but I am looking into raising chicks. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Hanna and welcome. If you want your hens to live a long life, do not get high production breeds (meaning hens that lay too many eggs per year). Their bodies were not designed to lay an egg every day or even every other day. 80% will get some type of reproductive disease by the time they are 2 1/2.
