Duckling Bedding?

So for my bunnies I buy Timothy Hay (They eat it). Is that the same kind of hay I could use as bedding???

after reading about chickens getting their crops impacked with straw I am not sure I would use any kind of hay or straw with chicks or ducklings, The only 2 times I had ducklings I was using saw dust and never had a problem with that. But I think I would use something else if I was to do it again. I really like all the other products that have been mentioned on here.
