Duckling developed spots above eyes overnight

Similar spots on both sides. See attached photo. Any idea what could cause this? The little birdy seems fine, it's behaving as usual. Thank you

Possibly a little gunk from the eyes. Do the ducklings have water deep enough to dunk their heads?

Hmm, today the spots look bigger... yes, there are plenty of water bowls around. True, I haven't seen the duckling taking a bath in any. It's a Muscovy.
