Duckling Died--PURPLE BILL--Can anyone help me figure out why?

This was the top result for this issue and I don’t know where else to ask this question. I apologize the original post was 10 years ago and I can’t navigate this site easily. I noticed that two of my buff ducklings (~2 weeks old) have developed a purple beak but are still very active. I am concerned that they may need treatment? This is all so new to me and I know nothing. I attached a photo of the purple beak and what seems to be normal color.

Buffs naturally have purple bills.

Really? That’s so good to know! I’m embarrassed for asking that now haha Thank you soo much for clearing that up for me! There’s so little information out there about purple beaks etc and I freaked out a bit.

Don't feel embarrassed, you just care about the well-being of your ducklings. Here is a picture of a Buff duckling.

This post is old, but I want to give you closure. I once had a duck with the same thing kinda. She had a purple bill but she was smaller than the other ducklings and also just sat a lot more than our other ones. I think what your duck had was failure to thrive.
