Every one getting along okay?
Aww poor thing. Sometimes drakes don't mind their manners, Maybe some time out by himself will bring him to his senses before he becomes dinner.[/URL]Sorry I've been extremely busy with school and sheep and everything else that life is throwing at me lol, unfortunately one of the drake had a go at one of the ducklings and pulled a new feather out which make her bleed so I've separated them for now and covered her in iodine! He's causing a bit of trouble hurting the girls now so if he continues he will be for the plate!![]()

They won't you'll need to keep mama and ducklings separated from your drakes for at least 3-4 weeks in an area where everyone can see each other but no drake can harm a little one. Hows the duckling doing?Just hope the muscovey females can stick up for there ducklings next year!
Great news, they are very resilient. thankfully .She's fine fully healed and back to herself!
@Muscoveyman where are they now while your building this very safe secure house for them?Unfortunately a mink chewed its way through the floor of my coop and killed all my ducks about a 4 weeks agojust today I've bought 6 more muscovie hens a drake and two call duck pairs! Time to rebuild my flock:/ this time I'm laying a concrete foundation and building a house out of cement bricks there will be steels door and a roof also an electric poultry fence around that at night not a single predator will![]()
