I'm new to this website and I'm not exactly sure if this is the right thread, but yesterday I was noticing that my ducklings droppings were fairly watery. At first I didn't really think anything of it until it was close to my ducklings bed time. I started walking him around my house trying to give him a little exercise before he went to bed. Then I noticed his droppings were just a tan water and he had been sneezing a few times a day. I really would like to know what's going on and fix it before it turns into something worse

What are you feeding him? sometimes sneezing can be from dry food to dry humidity not always sickness. But keep a close eye and if you begin to see discharge from eyes or nares then there could be a problem like respiratory but for now try putting a little Apple Cider Vinegar in his waterer. make sure he can dunk his face in his water to clean out his nares and eyes. very important for their health. Use 1 tablespoon of ACV to 1 gal of water. Keep him warm but not overly. first week after hatch they should be at around 85-87 then drop it 5 degrees each week after that till feathered. Hope it isn't anything serious he sure is a cutie. And ducklings/duck can have watery poop mainly because they drink alot of water. but something else that should be watched especially if he goes off his feed and begins to act like he doesn't feel good.

I am feeding him a non corn/soy poultry starter feed. His eyes and nares are clear so far. And if I were to put apple cider vinager into his water, will it still be safe for him to dunk his head?

Yes it is safe as long as you use the amt given, I use it on my flock from hatch on. I want you to use it now just to see if it helps with the sneezing, sometimes they can get dust up in the nares from their feed that is why it is so important that they have water they can dunk their heads in at all times. and it won't hurt his eyes either. use it for a couple days and post back if it is helping then you can go to a couple times a week, ACV is an excellent tonic for our flocks and us too.
