Guinea meet water balloon crop

I read that a molasses flush can cause fermentation and for the crop to burst or potentially cause aspiration. Crop bursting due to fermentation is not common in health chickens.

I glued it shut. I did try to look up the surgery and did not find anything on her but did find a couple on YouTube. Do you recommend a post to follow? Or video ? I did not see anyone just gluing/ suturing the crop then the skin.

That's interesting, never heard of that. Do you have a link to the article your read?

A one time Molasses flush probably wouldn't ferment in a crop or not immediately. Molasses act as a laxative and generally get the bowls moving.

There's 2 layers when dealing with the crop. You have the chicken skin, then the crop tissue itself. Those need to be addressed separately.

I think at this point, if you are able, seeking Vet Care is your best option.
