duckling found, it shakes a lot,(new videos added) Please help!

If your duck is showing signs of improvement, I would not treat with antibiotics. Antibiotics are powerful drugs that should not be used indiscriminately. Sometimes when we don't know what else to do, and getting a vet is out of the question, we have to do what we have to do, and sometimes that might include dosing with antibiotics. If that's the route you choose, make sure to research it extensively

I agree. Have you had any luck finding a vet?

Hello!!!!
I'm so glad you're trying to help the poor little thing!!! I'd definitely put vitamins in the drinking water.....since ducklings consume much more water than chicks, it's been recommended using half the dosage required for chicks. You may want to try putting a small stuffed toy in there for the duckling to snuggle with.....they don't enjoy being alone(smile). If s/he is eating and drinking fine, that's an encouraging sign. It could just be a vitamin deficiency of some kind. Time will tell. In the meantime, Keep loving that precious little one!! And please keep us updated!!!! Good luck!!!!

We had a pekin come down with these same symptoms at 4 weeks. we took her to the vet, treated with antibiotics and she never quite recovered. because she couldn't really walk, we were never able to introduce her to the rest of the flock. we ended up putting her down at 4 months, which was heart breaking, she was such a doll face.

the vet was never able to tell us what it was, but mentioned new duck disease, which can devastate an entire flock.

good luck and keep us posted.

It can be hard to find someone who treats waterfowl. The best bet is to start looking for avian specialists though most of them treat parrots and whatnot... occasionally you can find one that knows ducks. You can also try calling your local wildlife rescues and see who they use for waterfowl.

To tigerrrrrrrlilly: Antibiotics do not work against viruses, they work against bacterial infections. You shouldn't be giving medical advice.

This is what I read regarding viruses as being treatment from dept of agriculture, vets do treat viruses with antibiotics and I merely stated what I would do in the situation.
I am not the only one giving their opinion or medical advice here. No one should be giving medical advice if it is going to be taken as fact not opinion.

By what you are saying they should not be listening to you just because of what you think and what you posted on the internet either. I found that very rude to make an example of me, just because you don't agree with what I said. Especially when you are giving advice just as I am.
