Duckling Gender

I made this video with our duckling drake or duck predictions. Our Ancona ducklings are between 2-3 weeks in this video. We have 14 ducklings we bought from a local breeder, straight run. Surprisingly , I think we have 9/10 ducks in the mix!

I'm not getting sound from the video, but females quack loudly and drakes have a much softer raspy voice.

I figured out the sound/volume and believe you are correct.

That is great and sounds correct. I currently have two 2 1/2 week old ducklings who are both hens. One is starting to quack the other is sex-linked and her color tells me female. That second one still only peeps. So, maybe you have even more girls they are just a little slow.

You can sex them right from hatching by vent checking them.

Didn’t feel comfortable vent checking, since I’ve only seen how to do it in books and YouTube. I’d like to try it sometime , though.
