so I'm thinking about hatching some duckies

and thought maybe you guys would maybe be doing so too. This is for all 2015, every month. Don't be afraid to join in :woot

What do u guys think a Pekin and Rouen mix would look like?

A very large mottled Rouen. :p White tends to be a genetically dominant color, so you could end up with a pied or harlequin pattern!

I've still got two weeks to go on my chocolate calls. Waiting is the hardest part, I can't handle it!

Waiting is the hardest! No matter what kind of bird it is.

Right?? I'm handling it a tad better than last year, when I hatched my first call duck eggs. I was practically a helicopter mom throughout the entire experience! This time I'm leaving the bator alone for the most part, just checking it a few times throughout the day to make sure the temp and humidity levels are spot on. But come lockdown I just know I'm going to be a big mess! I wish hatching calls wasn't such an ordeal!
