First, thanks Ducks4us, I guess I shouldn't worry too much.
Oakgrove119, hopefully it's not an infection, or something wrapped around his leg cutting off circulation. Could be broken and that's where the swelling is coming from. Hopefully over time it will heal and he will be ok. We have a Cornish rock fryer once that had a badly crippled leg and he did pretty well and lived for 5 or more years.
