I have a duckling that hatched and he has a small hole that just has to heal I’m going to get stuff right in the morning does anyone have suggestions on what I could use to prevent infection

From how you describe it, it is most likely a rough (open) navel. If you could get a picture that would help to tell. Usually when I have one hatch like this I dab a tiny bit of neosporin (or zinc free antibiotic ointment) on it; however, this is not necessary. They usually close up fairly quick and are not noticeable after a day or so.

Here’s one I had with an open navel. It healed up just fine and the duckling is doing great.
